Sample INIs for E9.00 Demo With Oracle DB

In-case you are facing any errors after installing E9 Demo, Please compare your

  • JDE.INI (C:\Windows\JDE.ini),
  • JAS.ini (:\e900\system\OC4J\j2ee\home\applications\webclient.ear\webclient\WEB-INF\classes\JAS.ini), and
  • JDBJ.ini ((:\e900\system\OC4J\j2ee\home\applications\webclient.ear\webclient\WEB-INF\classes\JDBJ.ini)

with the ones attached in this post.

You may have to make slight path  modifications for some values based on where you have installed it

If you are installing on Vista or Windows 7, make sure that you replace all the occurences of (local) or localhost in all three INI files with your actual hostname. (You can find your host name from command prompt by typing “hostname”, or right click on My Computer>Properties)

    Hi i’ve Installed JDE 9.0 with oracle option. but when i execute activconsole.exe only jde_net.exe is running and the activconsole application is not opening. i’ve waited upto 30 minutes. nothing has come to login. could you please help me.

      Can you send me the jdeinst.log and jde.log from the demo FAT client?

        Hi, Im also facing the same issue when accessing activconsole.exe..only jde_net.exe is running and the activconsole is not opening..could you pls suggest..

    Hi guys, great web site and thanks for all the great articles.

    I have been trying to get the activeconsole working, have followed all the directions I can find here and tried not to bother you, but I just can’t seem to get it to work.

    I am new to oracle databases, used to SQL Server and DB2 on the iseries.

    The error message I get is “Standalone client could not connect to the security server”

    I followed all the instructions on how to fix this, but nothing..still same error.

    I am using windows 7

    Can you help please
